I’m Holly. 

 

I learned to sew as a child, but it took me a long time to realize what a fun hobby quilting can be.

In Texas we have a bumper sticker that says, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!"  That's how I feel about quilting.  I'm here, and I'm all in.!

I want to share my quilting adventures with you. 

Besides the Blog, I also share on YouTube, Instagram, & Facebook.

I am a teacher.

​I love to travel and look forward to teaching community quilt classes, in which i teach an easy techniques and the group works together to make a quilt that can be gifted, auctioned, or donated.

I love fabric.

I am designing fabric collections that will be linked in the shop soon!

When a couple of my sewing friends had life changes that meant less time for us to sew together, I realized that I really wanted to be intentional about creating and being involved in sewing communities. 

 

I am fortunate to have found local sewing groups, but I realized that not everyone has access to in person sewing friends.  I wanted to create free online gathering space for people to explore sewing together.  

 

Our new Sewing Bee Groups is where where quilters and sewists can share their experiences, seek advice, and show off their creations.  

I also host the "Happy Quilty People Sewing Bee" group on Facebook and a Youtube community on my channel @happyquiltypeople​
